Behind The Lens

For those wanting to know just who you're hiring, here's a little bit about me: 

My name is Brittany, and I've been taking pictures for as long as I can remember, but in 2013 I decided to make the push to turn it into a legitimate business. When I started, I dabbled in a bit of everything when it came to photography. In the past few years though, I've found my heart lies with newborns, toddlers, and families. I've since come to specialize in newborn and family photography. 

Some might wonder what it means to specialize in a particular area of photography. Simply put, it's just like any other line of work, when you focus on a few things in particular, rather than many things, you thrive in it. I've spent countless hours taking courses, attending retreats, and learning everything I can to make sure I provide a fun, and high quality session for families, as well as a safe environment for newborns. The past few years I've trained extensively in newborn posing and safety, as making sure your precious babies are always in safe hands, is my number one priority. 

On a more personal level, I like to think I'm a pretty down to earth person, and I may be just a bit sarcastic (okay, maybe a LOT sarcastic). I like to joke around and have fun, whether it be in my own life, or during sessions. I have an amazing son who is 12 years old and avoids the spotlight whenever possible, as well as a sweet 8 year old daughter, who always wants to be the center of attention. My husband has been putting up with my shenangians for just over two decades, and by some miracle, we're coming up on 16 years of marriage.
